"The Hemsley" has steadily grown a reputation for imaginative and delectable food combined with attentive service.  All the food is freshly prepared by the Hemsley’s team of talented and accomplished chefs, led by Head Chef, Nathan Gooding.  Our menu changes monthly, to guarantee we are offering the freshest seasonal produce from our local suppliers.  The team has extensive knowledge of dietary needs and will assist with any of your dietary requirements.

Restaurant Serving Hours: Monday - Friday
Lunch: 12pm - 2pm       Dinner: 6pm - 9pm

The Hemsley Restaurant is in a private house built in 1904 for William Sydney Hemsley, Managing Director of Hemsley & Co.  Subsequently, the house was owned from 1926 by Captain John Eric Greenwood, JP, Finance Director of Boots.  The house was later opened as a club in 1954 by the University and in May 2006, after an extensive refurbishment, The Hemsley Restaurant opened its doors to the public for the first time.
